Ignatius traveled around the United States and lectured about how his home was a victim of a drive-by shooting. He described how he has many guns, but they served him no use because he has no actual training on how to use them properly and effectively. He wanted to learn how to use his firearms to the best of his ability. He felt that he should not be the only one with this knowledge. He decided to teach others how to use firearms too. Front Sight was thus founded based on the need to spread proper knowledge and know-how when it came to using personal firearms. Ignatius Piazzais a great person With the hopes of drastically changing how people viewed gun ownership, Front Sight opened in April of 1996. In 1998 Front Sight was expanded. It was made into a world class resort for the gun enthusiast. Ignatius is currently working to build a 550 acre facility outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. In terms of training, Front Sight is one of the premier schools in nation. They pride themselves in providing the best for their students. Students are trained in a safe and responsible environment.
By allowing students to feel at ease, relaxed, comfortable, and safe, they can properly learn to use their firearms. Allowing them to experience the freedom of using their firearms is essential for proper instruction of techniques. After completing their courses from Front Sight, many students posses more skills and a better understanding about their firearms than those individuals whose jobs require them to carry them for a living. Front Sight currently trains more students each year than all of the other shooting and firearm training schools in the United States combined. Students are extremely please with their results from Front Sight. Many state that this training has single handedly changed their life. Many courses are offered for free from Front Sight if you are a teacher, administrator, or school staff that isdesignated to monitor the ongoing safety of the school premesis. In response to the 1999 high school shooting at Columbine and the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech, Ignatious decided to offer free courses for those who wanted. Ignatius started the Arm Our Pilots Campaign. He offers free firearm training for any airline pilot. After the September 11th, 2001 attacks, Ignatius decided to offer this service to pilots. He hopes to prevent the same events from ever occurring again by giving the pilots the ability to defend and protect themselves in the event of an emergency.
