Solar Water Heaters: The Solution of the Future

Our days are numbered. We know that our simple daily chores like driving the car and cooking our food hurt our planet bit by bit. Fossil fuel and gas aren't renewable, and they sure are running out at a fast rate. This is why many people are now turning into a new form of energy, which is constant, renewable and free. This energy can be found in our single and only star: the sun. Solar energy is by far, the cleanest and most reliable forms of energy we see today.

There are many different types of solar water heaters. One type is the batch solar water heaters, which doesn't involve any pumps, tanks, valves or sensors. It is heated directly, whenever the sun is shining. It's free and instant, but cannot be available at all times, especially if the climate does not permit it.

Another type is the siphon solar heating system. It contains a solar collector and a storage tank on top of it. The hot water is stored in a well-insulated storage unit, which retains heat even when left unused for long periods.

It is important to note that many solar water heaters are not devoid of electrical pumps and wires. This is to ensure that even when the sun is not shining, there is still enough supply of hot water. This is very important, or else you're forced to have ice cold showers in cloudy days and night times. Thus, you are ensured of hot water at all times.
