New To Golf?
New To Golf?

Now that you have shown interest in playing golf you need to remember one thing "Golf learning requires time, discipline and practice". Before hitting your actual play you must have an idea of how to select the ball and clubs that suits your style and how strong or weak your grip should be. You also need to work on your swing movements to avoid slicing, hooking and achieve the highest shot and tees. You may feel annoyed and frustrated at first, because of wrist, hips and knees injury. All you need is to stick to the rules and tips. Work on your body positioning and not to forget that your game needs time and practice.

Before you hit your first shot, you must not forget to have some pro exercises to warm up yourself. Stretching, toe- touching and arm circling relaxes your muscle and help you hit a distant shot. Avoid spending several bucks on golf equipments at beginner's level, since you don't know which style and which club will suit you the best. Go for a few second hand or cheap clubs at initial stage. You need to buy a pair of golf gloves having imprinted holes; it will help you in having a firm grip over the club. It will also prevent you from getting blisters once you start learning how to play.

Beginners need to work on their swing movements as well. Since they enhance your stretching and give you an edge to hit a distant shot. Give some swings without hitting the actual ball, once you have got the idea you are ready to drive the ball. Gripping is also an issue, one faces several times. Use your palms and not the hands to handle the ball. Your grip needs to be neutral, neither too tight nor too weak. You can either hold the club in baseball or hammer like style. You can also have a perfect co-ordination among pinky finger and opposite index finger for a perfect shot. Adjust your feet in a way that they have a complete balance of your body weight without moving during back swing or forward swing movements. Feet placement varies from men to women. Males are asked to adjust their feet according to their shoulder length and movement whereas females adjust it with their hip movement. The gravity centre for female is lower than that for a male, so female golfers need more balance, with this they can swing broader that males.

Before hitting the shot you need to attempt a back swing, it adjusts your body for the first hit. For an effective backswing you must assure that your chest is distant from the target and the lower body is slightly bent. Don't hit the ball from top of it but through it. Your head must be down during the swing. Take a complete hip turn during back and swing movement. Adjust your body weight through your knees and here you go.

Above illustrated are some of the basic golf driving tips that one may need to follow. However concluding with the tip "practice", you need to practice more and more to gain proficiency in this game.
