Are You Following the Right Weight Training Program?

If you ask people, what was the most difficult thing they have done in their lives, many of them are likely to site their experience with Weight Training Program. Why is this so? Is it because people have no motivation. No, they have plenty. In fact many are desperate to lose weight. So, people are also prepared to work hard for achieving their goal of losing weight or losing that extra abdominal fat. There is nothing that is holding back them. Yet, most people fail. The reason is that they have not chosen the right kind of weight training program.

There is no gainsaying the fact that weight training programs induce a lot of strain. The simplistic proverb, No Pain, No Gain' underlining the importance of hard work to achieve results has a reverse application here. 'No Pain, No Loss' implying that we need a painful exercise if we want to lose weight! So what could go wrong with an exercise program involving lifting of heavy weights to achieve muscle strength.

There could be two problems here. one is related to the limitations imposed by a person's health. The second is related to the tendency of overdoing it out of excessive enthusiasm and impatience for results. People, especially those suffering from chronic or serious illnesses should consult a doctor before taking up a weight training program. Secondly, people should take care to see that they choose the right kind of program.

Before choosing a weight loss plan or product, ask yourself "Is this something that I could do?" Make sure to get all details of the program or product and the precautions to be taken. The length of time you spend at a stretch and the quantum of weight you plan to lift are two important parameters. There should be periods of rest between sessions.

You should start with a moderately heavy weight and then gradually increase it. Also, watch your progress. Getting tired too soon, feeling the need to eat more to overcome the weakness felt after doing the program and a general feeling of fatigue are symptoms that your weight training program is not working for you.
