subject: Spicing Up Kid's Baseball Caps [print this page]

Parents can be very creative in decorating baseball caps for children. Parents can make a project out the decoration process or even purchase one that is already decorated for their child. This article addresses some of the ideas that are available to decorate kid's baseball caps.

Kids love to show off their master pieces. What better way to do so a head covering made with their little hands. Depending on the age of the child, parents can help their child decorate their baseball cap with anything from dye, buttons, collectables, etc. Each baseball cap that they make can be made to match any outfit that they have as well. They can personalize their designs with a special touch that makes their baseball cap theirs.

Once you decide on the color of paint to use, place down some newspaper first because it may lead to a big mess in the end. Take a paint brush and coat the inside of the child's hand with a color of paint. Be creative and make it multi-colored!

What type of cap do you want? What is it you want on there? Is there any particular design that comes to mind? Is the cap sports related or not? This is what you want to start out with. Think of what it is you want on there. Whether it is animals, a particular nature scene, or just a name, you can bet that it will go on a cap if you wish to have it made. There is one thing to consider though. If the retailer does not have the license for certain things like sports logos, then that is considered copyright violations and you can end up in court for using them without the owner's permission.

Another fun way to spice up the kid's baseball cap is by sewing things on it that children have collected. From buttons to scraps of material, each can be sewn on the hat to decorate their baseball hat in another creative way. Depending on the child's age, parents will want to take safety into consideration when choosing their collectables to sewn onto the hat. You do not want a fun filled day to end in disaster with a child swallowing one of the collectables.

You have taken the time to figure out what kind of baseball cap you want. You have decided you want your own custom baseball cap. Now comes the fun part of getting it made. You can get it embroidered or air brushed. There are many choices of designs to choose from.
