How often should I change my toothbrush:

Most of the dentists agree that you should change your toothbrush once in every three months. Most of the orthodontic research made after three months of normal wear and tear, toothbrushes become less effective in removing the plaques from teeth and gums.

Flossing:

The Proper flossing removes plaque and food particles from the places where a toothbrush cannot easily reach under the gumline between your teeth. Because, the plaque build-up can lead to tooth decay and gum disease, daily flossing is highly recommended.

To obtain the maximum benefits from flossing, try to follow the below given technique:

Try to Start with 18 inches of floss and wind the floss around the middle finger leaving an inch or two of floss to work with.

Holding the floss tightly between your thumbs and index fingers, slide it gently up and down between your teeths.

Gently curve the floss of each teeth base, making sure you go beneath the gumline.

There are two types of floss from which to choose:

Nylon or multifilament floss

PTFE monofilament floss
