The x monster is superbly well balanced and this allows it to be swung through the air fairly well. The blade has been made in a way that makes it useful as an all round tool. You can use it to climb on, dry terrain, ice falls, and snow. The blade design makes it just right for both mountaineering and dry tooling. The blade can be jammed into smaller cracks and the added nut can be used for wedging into larger cracks. The bendy shaft makes it easier to anchor into cracks. The nut is useful for hammering in pitons.
