New Carpet Cost Installed Is Unbelievably Reasonable

You were at the neighbors, and noticed their new carpet in their living room. It looks real nice. How long has it been since the carpet was installed in your living room? Wow that long ago?

The last few weekends you have been in every carpet retailer in the area. There was carpet available as inexpensive as $2.00 a square foot to $100.00 a square yard. The carpet that you really liked and picked out was $9.00 a yard. The pad had to be purchased separately.

You purchased a tape on how to install the carpet. The first thing you need to do is move all the furniture out of the living room; you forgot how heavy the sofa was when you move it in. Now it will remind you for the next few hours.

The removal of the old carpet is next. To make it easier, you removed all of the mop boards carefully. They all came off and easily, only one cracked in half.

Now time to tackle the old carpet. Where did that smell come from? It did not smell that bad this morning. Remember to remove all the carpet and carpet strips. Wow, that carpet strip in the corner sure took a chunk out of our fingers.

The old carpet and padding are out by the curb for pick up on trash day. Now the new carpet and pad are ready to be installed.

The carpet strips are installed to specifications. They sure bite more than the old ones you tore up earlier.

The carpet pad has been rolled out on the floor and trimmed. The new carpet is lying out on top of the padding. The carpet needs to layout overnight so that it can air. Will the smell be gone soon?

The carpet needs to be trimmed so that installation is easier. Your knees, back, arms, and neck sure hurt. Is that carpet burn on both of your knees?

The carpet is installed, and the job you did looks great! The furniture still needs to be put back in the living room.

You remember the store that had the same carpet for $2.00 more a yard. Their carpet included the padding for free.

If you had the carpet installed by a professional, you would have gotten the job done for $39.95. This would have saved the pain you are suffering in your knees, back, arms, and neck. Who are you kidding! Your whole body is one gigantic muscle spasm.

The cost of new carpet also includes the removal of the old carpet. If you had the professional do it, they would have hauled away all of the old carpet, debris, and scraps. The $40.00 that you were charged to dump it at the refuge yard would still be in your pocket!

Your fingers would not be all bandaged and cut up either. The professional would have taken up the old carpet strips and installed the new ones.

They would have removed the floor trim too. You would not be putting the last coat of varnish on the replacement for the one you broke.

They would also have had the new carpet in a day, and no new carpet odor to smell all night either. They would have moved the furniture back too! Wow; those hidden costs of installing new carpet are really expensive!
