The opening sequence of Season 8 of Hell's Kitchen, like Season 7 does not take place in the kitchen. It takes place in a medieval setting based on the classic tale Gulliver's Travels, showing the contestants tying up a giant Chef Ramsay as they take various acts of revenge on him. It then shows each contestant along with their names as each of them take their revenge on Ramsay. In various moments new maitre d' James, and assistant chefs Scott and Andi are seen tied up. When Ramsay breaks free, the scene switches to the main title.
Hell's Kitchen (US) is the name of a cooking-based reality show. It is based on the original Hell's Kitchen, broadcast in the UK on the ITV Network in 2004, featuring chef Gordon Ramsay. The first American season aired in the United States on FOX in 2005, while the second season started with two back-to-back episodes on June 12, 2006. The third season of the US version premiered on June 4, 2007. The UK also airs the American version of Hell's Kitchen on digital channel ITV2.
Synopsis of the Episode:
The eight remaining contestants face a women vs. men blind taste test. The winners dine at the L.A. restaurant XIV while the losers sort trash. Later comes a test of cooking precision and communication skills, but dinner service proves disappointing to Chef Ramsay and his guests, L.A. restaurateur Josiah Citrin and NFL quarterback Matt Cassel. In the end, six chefs remain.
