High Velocity Bowling for the Sony Playstation 3 Move is an arcade style game. The original version of this game for the PS 3 did have good graphics and did make it appear as if you were in a bowling alley. Although when SCEA fine tuned this game for the Sony Playstation 3 Move, the graphics became 100 times clearer. The picture has been substantially enhanced. There is not even the slightest hint of fuzziness or blur in the graphics now.
High Velocity Bowling for the Playstation 3 Move is scheduled for release in September 2010. It is rated E for everyone. What many gamers do not realize is that this game was actually brainstormed for, and roughly developed on a golf course. The designer was knocking balls around, and thought up the idea for the High Velocity Bowling game.
This PS Move game is character driven. The characters are pre programmed so there is no personalization of characters. There are a number of interesting characters in the game though. There is the biker guy, who always looks a little mad, but has some awesome expressions. The little blonde girl seems to have her hand at a twelve pounder. She is very animated in replicating the moves of the user. In all there are a total of 20 characters that are available for use in the game.
The game has a section that is solely dedicate to trick shots. Some of these are pretty cool. There are shots that use ramps, and steel chairs. Others use road cones. The flying eagle shot is awesome. This one has the pin in the middle of the lane, halfway down the lane. The player has to hit the pin and send it flying into the next lane.
This game allows up to four people to compete against one another. There is also the option to play online head to head against another player. If none of these is what the player desires this PS3 Move game also allows for single player mode as well.
High Velocity Bowling for the PS Move allows the player to choose between a variety of alleys, as well as balls. There are over twenty different alleys available, and 13 different ball styles. Some of the balls have roses in them, one even has a skull in it. There are striped balls, clear ones, and balls that are a solid color.
In terms of alleys, one looks like the walk of Fame in Hollywood. Another alley looks like it is a perssonal one in someone's basement. There are alleys that offer extreme lighting, low lighting, and everything in between. This is definitely a must get. The PS Move has taken a one dimensional game and turned it into a stimulating, action filled game.
This game will go over well at parties, and family game night. Some of the characters may be a little much for younger kids, but overall with the many choices of characters, this is no problem.
