Truth About Abs - By Mike Geary
As a young male, I personally know the importance of having a six pack in relation not only to looking good, but also to the well being of my health in general. The same may also be said for women; a slim toned body on a female looks and feels good. So then how does one go about attaining a six pack? Surely it can't be easy? Months and months training in the gym doing endless sit ups and crunches? This, as you may have guessed, is not the answer.
The first wake up call for anyone who is hoping to achieve a slimmer and sexier body, is to look at their diet. That's right, their diet. May gym-goers often overlook this first most important aspect of losing belly fat. The saying of 'touch the lips, straight to the hips' does have slight truth to it, as if we're not careful enough, all that junk we constantly feed our bodies can go nowhere but our waists. When I first purchased Truth About Abs by Mike Geary, I was a little sceptical I have to admit. This is because there is an endless amount of information circulating the internet in regards to losing weight, so why pay for it? Well, I'd been following Mike's work for quite some time now, and so wanted to see if his methods actually worked. His body was similar to mine (apart from the fact that mine had a few extra layers of fat covering it).
When reading through Truth About Abs, I noticed that one must slightly alter the information he gives to suit yourself. Wait a minute, if I'm going to have to change the information in the ebook, then what's the point of buying it? Well, for one, I looked at it very positively. If someone told you they had diet that worked for everyone exactly the same, you'd be very sceptical, no? Everyone's body is different, and while the majority (and I'm talking 95%) of info in this book can be used be everyone, one must adjust some of the points very slightly. To give you an example, personally I find that if I increase my dairy intake too much, I struggle to get that last bit of fat off me. In the same way, you can take all of Mike's great tips and then tweak them ever so slighty; it's you that knows your body best.
Another strength of the ebook is that Mike has taken out some time to essentially weigh up the different ab exercises, and see which ones are most effective. There's no point working hours in the gym doing a multitude of exercises, only to realise you could have the same results by doing 10 minutes of a specific one? Along with this, in the nutrition section, Mike gives you sample meal plans that you can follow in order to achieve weight loss. Although he does not go into a lot of detail about recipes, which I think is one con, he leaves it up to you to be creative!
To end, if you are actually seriously about losing weight, and want to start making results, then this book is not to be taken lightly! It takes a no nonsense approach to weight loss, that is easy to follow by everyone, in order to attain that better looking body.
