If you want to create a healthy weight loss eating plan there are two things to consider what you are going to eat and how you are going to organise yourself, so you are able to eat what you planned, not what takes your fancy, or what you buy at the last minute because you are starving'. I am going to give you some facts and tips about the planning side of eating a diet that will help you shed pounds and keep them off.
Planning is the key word here. If you don't make time to buy and prepare the right kinds of food, no matter how much you want to get thin, you probably will not succeed.
First the facts
If you are fat now, or your children are fat now, or your partner is fat now you are going to have to make some changes to start to shed that fat.
Making changes will take time and effort and most of all some planning so unless you are prepared for that, there is no point in reading this article.
You are more likely to succeed in eating a healthy diet if you do most of your own food preparation at home (or pay someone to do it for you if you are lucky enough to afford it).
Now the tips
Planning takes time so set aside a quiet time each week to plan what you are going to eat that week, including main meals and snacks and drinks.
Plan the full week ahead then work out which meals, snacks and drinks you will make and which you will buy out.
When planning your meals consider how long each takes to prepare and cook and make sure you will have time to do the preparation. There are plenty of meals that are quick to prepare so work out what they are.
Write up your shopping list and decide how often you need to shop. Some things you will be able to buy in for the whole week or longer, but fresh and perishable goods will need to be bought more frequently.
Decide when in your busy week you will have time to shop and write that into your agenda for the week. Consider shopping on line if time is tight.
Plan time to do food preparation into your daily schedule then keep note to see whether your plans work out and if not try to adjust things so that you can do what you have planned.
Set aside one or two evenings or time at the weekend to do some baking so that you have home-baked healthy snacks to eat. It is really easy to make seed and nut biscuits and whole-meal bread or vegetable soups that you can store and eat later in the week.
If all this sounds like an impossible task write a list of the priorities in your life and then write a list of what you spend your time on. Check how high a priority being healthy is and if it comes above other things youspend time on,decide which other things you can drop.
Practice makes perfect and as they say, and Rome was not built in a day, so keep at it and you will succeed in getting lean and healthy through creating a good weight loss eating plan.
