Chris' tryst with car racing began when he, through Appco Group, partnered with Andrew Kirkaldy in 2006. They first met when they raced together in the British GT Championship and this resulted in the formation of the British racing team then known as "AKA Cobra". The next step was the formation of CRS Racing in 2007. CRS Racing made news when one of its Ferraris won the first British GT race of the 2008 season and went on to take the teams title. They also coveted the Championship victory in Formula Renault and race victories in the FIA GT Championship and also got represented in different segments of car racing like Le Mans Series, GT Open, CRS and Formula Renault.
