Nintendo revealed 3DS Handheld Games Console

The Nintendo 3DS was first time revealed by Nintendo at E3 Press Conference. The new 3DS look like a normal DS but with a larger top screen, and a thumb nub on the left side near the D-pad. Nintendo 3DS has built-in motion sensors that the Japanese videogame giant hopes will inspire software makers.

3D is shaping up to be one of the big trends of 2010, with a host of television manufacturers including Sony, LG, Panasonic and Samsung unveiling 3D televisions for domestic use, while Sky's dedicated 3D channel launches on April 3. The top screen, however, is a larger 3.5-inch widescreen display. As promised, it's got a 3D depth slider - you can maximize the 3D effect, remove it altogether or opt for something in between.

The top screen of the 3DS is also slightly larger at 3.53", serving to showcase stereoscopic 3D that would not require any additional eyewear to enjoy. However, the bottom screen has reduced in size to 3.02" versus the 3.25" screen on the DSi. Three cameras are integral too as are some WiFi capabilities. Nintendo said several 3DS titles were in development including DJ Hero 3D, Saints Row: Drive-By, Resident Evil Revelations, Batman, Assassin's Creed Lost Legacy and Metal Gear Solid.

Other features of the device include:

3.5 inch upper 3D screen

3D depth sliders

Non-3D touchscreen on the bottom

Analog slidepad

Motion and gyroscope sensor

Integrated 3D camera

Nintendo 3Ds comes with Kingdom Hearts, Saints Row, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Madden, FIFA Soccer, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil Revelations, The Sims 3, Batman, DJ Hero 3D, Assassin's Creed, Ridge Racer, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles, Samurai Warriors, Battle Giants: Dinosaur Strike, and Hollywood 61.
