Is Site Build It a Scam? You Decide.

The dictionary defines scam as: "a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit". "Fraudulent scheme" "quick profit" History shows that scams are typically short-lived; people are not fools. Almost always, sooner rather than later, people wise up to a scam, and it dies as quickly as it started.

As for Site Build It (SBI) being a scam, let's look at what SBI! is and the people who use it. Site Build It is the only all-in-one package of process, software, guidance, and help that enables anyone to create a successful e-business. The users of Site Build It (known as SBIers) say they love SBI, but in reality they love what SBI does for them. There are documented case studies of SBIers who have achieved tremendous success with their own online businesses. And these case studies are not just once-off wonders, but span a number of years. Would this be possible if Site Build It was a scam?

The company (SiteSell) who developed Site Build It was started in 1997, and SBI was launched in December 2000. That's certainly a long time for any scam to still be running, wouldn't you say?

In all the documentation that supports Site Build It (training manual, online help, articles) there is a common thread to "keep it real". The founder (Ken Evoy) himself regularly advises his customers to "keep it real". SBI is about building a real business nowhere is any claim made that you can make a certain amount of money. If Site Build It were a scam, just this one aspect would be prevalent, and would be something you'd find documented, either at any of the SBI sites, or in the supporting documentation.

Site Build It is only about building a real online business.

Another aspect to consider as to whether Site Build It is a scam, is to look at the company, SiteSell. As mentioned earlier, SiteSell was started in 1997. There are about 60 people working for the company some for more than 10 years.

A further consideration is that SBI constantly undergoes regular enhancements, always bringing SBIers new (or updated) features and tools to improve their businesses. And this happens with no increase in the price (the price has remained the same for the past 6 years), or any additional fees required. Is this the typical pattern of a scam?

A scam is actually categorized by a) getting money out of you, and then disappearing quickly ("quick profit"), or b) continually getting money out of you ("fraudulent scheme"), by having you buy add-ons.

If Site Build It were a scam, you would be bombarded by regular e-mails, with "necessary" additional tools that you need to run your business. This is completely absent with SBI.

SiteSell has issued a formal reply to Site Build It scam stories. Before you focus these stories, investigate the company and the product, and then make an informed decision.
