Office Assistant jobs form a vital part of the workforce of an office because office is a place where the management of the work is crucial and since officers and senior management people can't do all tasks on their own so they require certain skilled individuals who can assist them. These are the entry level jobs in an organization.

Job responsibilities of an office assistant may vary according to the type of job environment but basic duties like answering and receiving calls, filling documents, data entry, assisting the staff with varied responsibilities, sending and receiving mails etc, remains the same across the industry. This job also requires basic computer knowledge, good communication skills and grasping and responding on the tasks assigned at a faster pace. Administrative technician, store keepers, facility management household etc, are few categories that forms the part of office assistant job.

The job role of an administrative technician includes providing day-to-day technical and administrative support services, assisting staff/seniors in research work, assisting in project set up, gathering useful information for the projects assigned etc. Preparing letters, memos, agreements, reports etc., processing incoming and outgoing mails, coordinating with different departments for completion of a project, providing support in a legal and ethical manner, exercising independent thinking and taking initiatives are the few basic requirements for undertaking administrative technician job.

A store keeper is the Incharge of the store department and is expected to have an eagle's eye on the movement of materials with a view to control materials in the store. The job responsibilities of a store keeper include receiving, arranging and inspecting all incoming material, supplies and equipment, reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting and record keeping purposes etc.They are expected to record the movement of goods in the respective bin cards regularly to keep the track of the stock. The job requires knowledge of methods and procedures related to receipt,storage and issuance of materials and supervisory techniques, personnel policies and procedures.

A business can not run efficiently from the top if it doesn't have a proper structure and FacilityManager Jobs play the most significant role in providing that structure. A facility manager is responsible for managing the services and processes that support the core business of an organisation. A person allocated to such position manages the facilities of a particular office/ department/building within a division.

The office assistant job duties may include supervising facility usage, operations, equipment procurement and maintenance, security systems & signage for the overall facility, preparing and maintaining annual budget for facility maintenance, maintaining usage records and invoice clients accordingly etc. A facility manager is expected to have a sound knowledge of building operations and support and should also have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to ensure smooth running of the business.
