TALENT HUNTS:a mockery to talents
TALENT HUNTS:a mockery to talents

Reality talent shows, a camouflage of unreal, a run for TRPs. Popular judge's fights, contestant's poor households, bucketful tears absolutely free with every performance on episodes dedicated to mothers, are the known pictures on any reality show on any channel.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Indian Idol,Dance India Dance-the list of favourites & popular talent shows are so succesful in producing talents for the country that Abhijit Sawant, winner of Indian Idol I,appears along with his wife to dance,or may be to explore another aspect of his talent on a dance reality show. Other popular reality show participants-Rahul Vaidya,Prajakta Shukre,Sharib,Ujjaini Mukherjee& the unending list of performers have becomeregular faces trying again &again their fate exposing themselves to the fearful judgement.

The talent shows are so successful that except a contract albumthe winning talent is never heard or seen, except they anchoring other talent shows,or they being a guest performer on television or film awards. So not the participants or their success but the TRP tricks win over the talents.Inspite being eye washed, viewers remain glued to television sets, aching their finger tips on their remote panel browsing through channels all having one or the other talent show on.They areset to delay their dinners to explore Vineet's crush on a fellow contestant,to know how Ameer-Sanjeeda met (may be they never met the way they being directed).

The successful TRP tricks include emotional sentimental melodramatic lives of contestants, one or the other mishap on every episode,or how Rakhi & Abhishek get on to their lost affair (recent example being Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus) & so on & so forth.

These talent hunts aresearch for TRPs,business, thrill, adventure but for talents. Still we are ready to be tricked & fooled on cost of getting entertained. On the other hand thetalented participantseither in derth of proper exposuredevote themselves to these shows or their talent falls victim to the alluring huge prize money & offers these talent shows promise. Hence business is not the proper judge of talents, they needs to be recognised through their ability, not through name, face or fame.
