Why is the idea of a natural cure for psoriasis thought by many to be too outlandish to be true?
For those of us unfortunate enough to suffer with psoriasis, the news that it cannot be cured often comes as a bit of a blow. We naturally expect, in this modern age, that modern science will have come up with a cure for all our ailments. Sadly, this isn't true.
I myself was one of those people who refused to accept the view of medical professionals, that psoriasis has no cure, and that if modern medicine could not offer me any real help then I should look for a natural cure for psoriasis. What I first discovered was that when the doctors' say there is no cure, it is actually partially true. Why?
Because when we think of a 'cure', we think it means there is a magic pill that will make it go away!
I am afraid this just isn't the case with psoriasis, but that doesn't mean you cannot cure yourself of the disease. I personally found that my psoriasis condition improved when I spent time exposed to plenty of sunlight. It was actually when I was on vacation that I noticed this, and I got to thinking how I could use this to my advantage in my everyday life.
Soon after this discovery I took to taking vitamin D supplements, because I learnt that it was the increased production of vitamin D, caused by exposure to sunlight, that was what had caused an improvement in my condition.
While this didn't fully answer my question of whether a natural cure for psoriasis truly exists, it did show me that perhaps waiting and hoping for a magic pill to come along was not the answer.
