subject: How To Pack To Speed Through Security [print this page]

Getting through security is no longer such a breeze. There seem to be hundreds of rules to follow, and it only makes your travel experience difficult if you don't pack smartly.

To make the start of your journey and holiday experience that much easier you should always remember to check out what items are permitted in luggage that you'll carry on to the plane with you and what luggage you are permitted to take in your luggage that will be going in the hold. Each airline has slightly different rules, but taking flights from Richmond to Las Vegas for a little gambling will have pretty much the same regulation as any flights you take.

The most important thing is that you don't break any of the rules. This could delay your baggage if its being put in the hold, or it could cause airport security to unpack your luggage and the X-Ray scanner, and it could ultimately make you miss flights from Chicago to Los Angeles. Since you don't want to be stuck in the Windy City for any longer than is absolutely necessary you should avoid putting sharp objects and bottles of liquid greater than 100ml in your hand luggage.

When sat in the line for the scanner, ensure you take out you laptop, remove all objects from your pockets, and place them in them in a tray. The security officials don't care that you're taking flights from London to New York, so they don't need to see your boarding pass or passport. Finally, be nice. Nothing makes security take longer than being rude to the airport officials. When they do ask you to unzip your luggage, then do it without any complaints. They randomly ask a number of people to open their luggage, so sometimes there is nothing you can do.
