How was your bowel movement today? What if someone asks you this question in the early morning, I hope most of us will not like this question. Not because we do not want to answer, but because either we dont know what it means or we do not have had a good one. Whatever the reason is, most of us will be puzzled by this question as even if we know about this, most of us do not know what to do about it.

The basic problem is with our food habits. We are seldom attentive to what we are eating and what effects of it will be on our body. The only thing which matters to us is whether or not that is tasty. Not until the condition gets worse, we know a single thing about it and when we come to know about it its really late. The bad food habits can lead us to there from where there is no way back. And then starts a fight against the problem. Daily medicine, colonoscopy, routines this all comes in the way.

Well, then what is a bowel movement? It is the discharge of the waste from our large intestine. And because of bad food habits, not enough water drinking and a bad routine may create problems in bowel movement and that leads to IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. The symptoms of the IBS are abdominal pain, bloating or diarrhea and that of the IBD are bloody diarrhea, fever, weight loss, loss of appetite etc.

The problem in itself is not so big, but it leads to several other problems and every problem of body starts from stomach. If stomach is clear, many diseases are simply can be left at bay. But if not it leads to a lot of other diseases and that is like Pandoras Box.

There are cures available for these problems and one can take medicines in order to get a remedy. But, medicines may have their side effects. And the problems are like if one takes some simple precautions they can be cured and as many of the herbal drugs are available for the treatment one can take their help in getting rid of the disease.

The herbal remedies for IBS and IBD consist of the roots, leaves of the plants and the main herbs are peppermint, ginger, fennel, chamomile, caraway etc as they smooth the stomach muscles and intestine. They are easy to consume and can be taken in the form of tea.

The natural remedies and treatment for IBS and IBD are quite simple in nature and can be found in our daily lives. We have these all in our kitchen and what we need to do is just need to know that what herb can be used for what and in which way.
