Carpet tiles are a cheaper, more hardwearing, more practical option than many other types of flooring. They are easy to clean, and can be sponged down or lifted to remove more stubborn dirt. As the tiles are easily removable, a single tile can be replaced if it is damaged, rather than having to replace the whole flooring. This saves a lot of money, time and hassle.

Carpet tiles are available in a large variety of colours to suit your choice and are packed into boxes, making them easy to transport.

The obvious advantages of carpet tiles make them a popular option in many places, especially busy venues in which the flooring is going to have to withstand a lot of wear and tear.

Schools often choose carpet tiles because school flooring needs to be hardwearing and easy to clean, as spillages of paint, glue, ink, food and drink, are often an every day occurrence. Day centers usually choose carpet tiles as flooring, for the same reasons as schools, but also because a soft flooring is required, as young children can easily fall.

Churches and offices use carpet tiles because like schools, churches and offices are used by many people, and need a flooring which is cheap, inoffensive and hardwearing.

Carpet tiles are also a popular option for hotels and restaurants, again because a hardwearing floor is a necessity, as a hotel or restaurant has a constant stream of people walking on the floor. Food spillages are likely to occur, especially in a restaurant, so an easily cleanable floor is important. Carpet tiles also help to insulate against sound. If a floor such as stone tiles, or linoleum is used in a restaurant, it can often create an unpleasantly loud, echoing atmosphere.

So carpet tiles can be used anywhere, but are especially advantageous in venues which are used by a large number of people, but still need to maintain comfortable surroundings.
