The birds tend to live in the aspen trees found in the forests of this region, so it is a prime place to find them. Those that really want to sport a regal creature can also apply for a Black bear tag.

Near the area of Amasa, a large population of these mammals has been recorded. When it comes to the water, Michigan has some of the best fishing and angling available.

The Great Lakes are stocked with all different species, including trout, pike, crappie, bass, bluegill, walleye, and muskie. Anyone that is interested in fishing in this area may want to devote an entire vacation to it, because there is definitely enough sport to keep you occupied for days.

When visiting, you may wish to stay in a lodge that specifically caters to fishermen; there are usually a number of opportunities for guided excursions. You can also spend time with other anglers and receive tips on prime locations.

This activity is great for those that love spending time outdoors. It can be very relaxing and give you the opportunity to enjoy nature's grandeur.

It is home to some of the most beautiful national forests; you have the option of hiking, mountain biking, and camping. Because of the availability of water, many people also enjoy spending time boating, tubing, water skiing, and swimming.
