subject: Why Should We Replace Our Out-dated Televisions? [print this page] With the development of the technology, more and more things are changed or just replaced. One of those fast developing products is the television. So, some people think that we shouldnt replace the old TV receivers with the new float ones, because despite the fact that they are with comfortable sizes we are not able to get other benefits of it. However, in my opinion, they are in huge mistake, especially what is referred to the quality, performance and convenience. May be the answer is somewhere between those two statements, but I am intending to think that there are many merits coming with the new thin displays. Preciously for that in the next sections, I have introduced some of the major reasons why I stand strongly behind this point of view.
The main issue of this discussion is which type of these television generations is with better quality. There are many question marks about this, but one thing is for sure that every new technology must have and it has something better than the older one. Therefore, only this fact is quite enough to confirm that the float televisions must replace the tube ones. For example, why did we change our black and white TV receivers for those ones with colour? For the same reason now, we have to do the same thing. However, if we start comparing the quality of those two televisions, hence we have to implicate parameters like ratio, resolution, brightness, dimension, contrast and numbers of colours. It is an obvious fact that the ratio is the advantage of the LCD or plasma television. Only for those who are interested in what LCD TVs are, you have to know that they are liquid crystal television and are divided into two types so far: passive and active TFT (thin flat transistors) and LED (light emission diodes). In fact there is one more type OLED (organic LED), where instead of crystals we have live matter. This is one more instance why we must replace our old TV. What is more, the colours in the LCD are less, but in the OLED are even more. And if we include the contrast and brightness we will see that they are the same as in the tube televisions. Additionally, it is proven that the digital television is remarkable compared to the analogue one, especially when there is full resolution picture in it.
To sum up, the replacement of our old TV is something normal, necessary and we can only win from it. When we summarize better quality, convenience, ratio, brightness, contrast, dimension then we may quickly reach the conclusion that we compulsory need those new generation televisions.
