New Tests of Camo Uniforms for the Navy
New Tests of Camo Uniforms for the Navy

Since the number of Sailors are ever-growing because the demand for having them in combat environments is still high. This growing demand, makes the Navy officials recognized the need to create new camo uniforms for them. It is already a known fact that the military has progressively changed to new military clothing and the need for them has ever grown, so it is just natural to see a number of tests being done in the improvements of such uniforms.

The thinking is to provide a uniform that can address the needs of the battlefield today. The new styles that they are creating have a similarity to the Marine Corps desert and woodland digital patterns. These two types of Navy Working Uniform are the Type II and Type III that will be tested in late July of next year. Those who will benefit from the new designs of camo uniforms are those Sailors in the Seabees, riverine units, explosive ordinance disposal technicians, and the Naval Warfare operations.

The reason for the development of new camo uniforms is because their blue-and-grey-hued digital Navy Working Uniform had been criticized for not being suitable for shipboard and they have even admitted that their uniform was not even camouflage.

These new tests that are still in progress are still field in controversy since they are still fielding their Type I Navy Working Uniform. The Navy is the last one to change into digital pattern camouflage uniform and replaced their old dungarees, khakis and coveralls.

These two new designs that the Navy is creating for the Type II and Type III are made to be the same except for the camo designs. And with the ongoing progress for these designs, the Navy will have a field day coming next year when the new camo uniform will finally be released.
