Treyarch is presently developing the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series which is to be published by Activision and will be released on the 9th of November 2010. Black Ops is supposed to be set in Laos, Ural Mountains, Vietnam and Cuba. This game mainly focuses on the military cover-ups of the Cold War. Black Ops is supposed to be thrilling and much different from all the other entries in the Call of Duty Series.
This game is a first person shooter video game with a high technological input. The player mainly takes the role of two characters which are Alex Mason and Jason Hudson who are the operatives behind the enemy line. The player has access to so many varieties of weapons. As the player levels up in the game he can unlock the weapons and purchase them. A currency system is added to the game so that the player can purchase clothes, weapons, medicines and other accessories. The player can perform three positions namely crouching, standing and prone. The top most level of the game is fiftieth and then a prestige mode which reveals that the mission is larger and harder than in the previous entries. Each mission has a list of objectives to be achieved. The prestige mode contains fifteen levels.
The game also gives the multi player option where the mission can be performed by a set of players. Players can play alone or with their pals against the opponents in Combat Training'. Matchmaking is changed so that it is easier for friends to play together. The game is built up with a high quality audio and video setting and it supports 3D imaging technology. Motion capture technology is also used in building up this game.
As the day of release of the Call of Duty: Black Ops draws closer the fever goes higher. Every one is curiously waiting for this amazing work piece of Treyarch.
