First off let me say that if you are struggling in your network marketing business I feel your pain. I know exactly what you are going through because I have been there. I have done that and bought the T-shirt.
I joined my network marketing opportunity because I was sick and tired of the industry I was working in and wanted a change. I wanted a real 'people helping people' business. Like many of you I was sold on my company and their business model and product. I thought it was the greatest thing on earth and was the quickest way to becoming rich.
I was a real team player and bought into my company's training, events, and marketing system. I got on auto-ship and took my business serious. I purchased training materials and tickets to events. I would spend a lot of money on gas traveling all over my city and state attending events and prospecting. I was doing the stuff that the top 3% of distributors in my company were doing. There was only one problem. I wasn't making any MONEY. I wasn't recruiting or selling enough product to pay for any of the things I was doing.
I hate to say it but my credit card became my new best friend. I was constantly told to 'just believe.' Well I believed alright but it wasn't paying the bills and I was building a huge hole for myself.
It took me a year and a half to earn $1,700 in commissions but I was spending way more than I earned attending local events, trainings, corporate events and day to day business.
I finally woke up and decided that either I was going to build my network marketing business differently or quit. This is when I turned to the power of the Internet to build my business. I learned that using cutting edge technologies like the Internet to grow my business was easier, faster, smarter and less painful than what I was doing. I came to the realization that the strategies my upline taught me was actually the 'slow and painful' way of building my business. There was simply no way that I could build my network marketing business fast enough using the old marketing techniques to make a profit.
I partnered with mentors online who were recruiting like mad on autopilot without picking up the phone. They were doing this by using cutting edge technologies to do it.
I learned how to leverage 'Attraction Marketing', video marketing, Pay Per Click, Forum marketing, Ezine Marketing, Blogs, Facebook, Myspace marketing, Article marketing, and the list goes on to grow my business.
After seeing my business finally turn around and begin profiting you could not PAY me to go back to the old ways of marketing. Thank goodness that I turned my business around when I did.
