In the previous article I have explained about signal generator. In this article I want to explain about the sine wave.

Electronic equipment in sinusoidal pattern that produces pure oscillating frequency is called as sine wave generator. Sinusoidal pattern goes down, up and down and up in smooth, consistent with rolling pattern of valleys and hills.

This device produces this kind of wave that is called as sine since it has cosine function or trigonometric sine. This device is used to generate sound effects and calibrate measurement equipment.

We can find sine everywhere since sound and light waves are also types of sine. You can use this on your audio speaker if you adjust the range.

Electrical turbine that produces AC current is also sine generator's kind. Some of electrical series, especially resonant circuit, oscillate in sine pattern so that they are used in sine device. The wave that is produces by the resonant circuit when the output voltage is increased and decreased in sinusoidal patterns is called as sine.

If you need a signal device that produces other shape including sine wave you can have other type. That is function. Oscillating and periodic function can be understood as a weighted sum of multiples' base frequency. You can make your own desired wave by adding together sine and Fourier transform.

Oscillator can be used to produce waves with different shape by producing multiple overlapping cosine and sine. This method will produce square wave. This Square will go up then hold certain level at a time. This will drop to the origin level then hold it for a while. It will oscillate back up again repeatedly. This is used to generate off/on consistent signal to move the digital logic in digital electronics. Square are working in computers as an internal timing clock.
