subject: Where You Can Be You [print this page] Where You Can Be You Where You Can Be You
Homosexual men live rather normal lives. They need to eat, drink and sleep like everyone else, and they try to enjoy life in the same way as heterosexuals. The problem is that those who consider themselves "normal" because they live a lifestyle where love comes between two of the opposite sex make it difficult for homosexuals to live openly, and keep them from a large variety of rights that inhibit their ability to marry and adopt children.
There are groups and places that are dedicated to supporting and helping homosexual men with the struggles that can come with being gay in the south. They can speak with one another of their struggles, their interests and maybe even find a partner they connect with. These sites and places are a great place for a homosexual man to be completely open and not have to worry about ridicule or feel threatened in any way. They are able to let loose and enjoy being who they are which how they should be allowed to feel at all times.
The world we live in continues to be afraid of things they don't understand instead of taking the time to understand them. There is nothing to be afraid of in regards to homosexual men. They aren't a danger to society and they aren't going to kill the sanctity of marriage. That died a long time ago with the increase in the divorce rate and celebrities marrying simply for promoting a movie or trying to put themselves back in the spotlight. Politicians may be fighting to keep marriage the way it is, but that shouldn't stop gay men from searching for love and enjoying who they are. We are all part of the same society and deserve the right to love and marry whomever we choose.
