Honma introduces its all new Beres MG803 iron. The MG 803is Honma's first ever varying flow structure design. By varying the design from long irons to short irons, the MG803 Iron gives distance and forgiveness with the long irons but spin control and accuracy with the short irons. The 3-7 iron feature a special 2 pieces structure with weight distributed to heel and toe. This results in increased MOI.
Blade golf irons have been around for a long time and little has been changed in its design because of its simplicity. This is quite a positive aspect for many golfers and why they are recognized as the most classy and traditional style of clubs around. They are made of relatively soft material called mild carbon steel and are chrome plated. The softness of the material allows for greater flexibility given a wider range, making it possible to alter loft and lay angles. Unlike cavity backs, this Honma iron does not have a hollow cavity behind the face and are completely solid. Also, the weight is evenly distributed over the thinner blade.
The 3 and 4 irons also feature thinner faces at 2.4mm while the 5-7 are 2.7mm. The undercut cavity and the 2 x 5g tungsten weight eliminate missed shots and distance loss. The 8-SW irons feature a 1 piece construction with integrated cavity design. The 8-10 iron keeps a constant position for the moment of inertia allowing pure impact on the ball and feel. They feature 2 x 3.5g of tunsten in the cavity. The 11-SW is focused on spin and direction as wedges with a large face and large sweet area. A full set of blade irons includes 7 to 11 clubs, which are further subdivided into groups based on the length of their shafts the longs irons, mid irons, and short irons. The long irons, clubs one to four, are typically used for low straight distance shots from the tee, fairway, or trough. These are the most difficult to use among the clubs in the set because of its long shaft and small sweet spot. The Honma Beres MG803 Irons: Two piece structure irons #3~#7 have excellent kickback & larger strike area. The new model doubles the gravity point weight distributed to the toe and heel.
