Cultural Indoctrination Prevails Over Medical Science And Common Sense

Althoughit has been well proven that a plant-based diet is far superior to an animal-based diet in terms of health, it remains necessary to break through cultural traditions before the truth will ever be fully acceptedas opposed tomerely tolerated.

A ton of money has been spent to make us all believe that the flesh of intelligent animalsas well astheir by-productsarea necessity if we would remain at optimum health. The powers that be attempt to scare us into believing that without animal flesh we would have a protein deficiency and without cows milk we would have a calcium deficiency. The truth however is really just the opposite. The acidity in the meat forces the body to rob our bones of calcium and the protein content indead animalsisperilously high while being way past the danger zone in its saturated fat content. We not only do not need meat to remain healthy, but we need to refrain from eating it if we want to see a decline in heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a host of other health issues.

The government has long since been bought off by the meat, egg, and dairy industries and they are so deeply entrenched that they remain the major contributor in the perpetuation of lies concerning supposed benefits of meat consumption while being conspicuously silent about the known dangers. This however, is notthe first time that they have sold us down the river in the name of the almighty dollar. Areyou old enough toremember the tobacco industry's strangle hold on our government in years past? It took a lot of time and true medical science to force the government and the tobacco industry to admit that cigarettes were in fact not good for us. Now we know that they are not only not good for us but instead they are horribly bad for us. This would have been public knowledge many years sooner if the government and the tobacco industry did not spend so much money in an attempt to cover up the health risks associated with smoking.

Imagine how many people have lost their health or died prematurely due to this high dollar cover up! Smoking became so much a part of the American culture that to this day despite all the knowledge we now have about the dangers of smoking we still cannot give it up. We are a culture obsessed with smoking and we die at alarming rates due to our habit. Keep this in mind however, that the health crisis caused by smoking is a national epidemic only because the tobacco industry and the government spent loads of money to brainwash us into believing that smoking was not at all unhealthy but instead it made you look cool. We swallowed that hook, line and sinker and now cancer deaths caused by smoking are at astronomical rates.

Nevertheless, public opinion was not quick to agree with what the medical community had discovered about the dangers of smoking because frankly,we were hooked on the nicotine.Times have not changed all that much today in thatwe as a society are hooked on the hormone and antibiotic laden tortured carcasses of a variety of intelligent and sentient creatures. It is not yet clear to most folks that the health dangers associated with meat consumption make it a real bad investment both at the grocery store andfor a nation who can no longerafford health care. This lack of understanding however, is not due to any lack of medical evidence which has clearly shown the dangers of an animal-based diet and the healing qualities of a plant-based diet. The misunderstanding is only due to the indoctrination that has been foisted on us by the meat, egg and dairy industries through a wellorchestrated and long sustained marketing campaign. Yeswe have been sold this recipe for slow death, and we as a society have believed it and stood in line to purchase this prescription for bad health.

As a society, we had better acknowledge these things quickly because we are a generationheaded towardsheart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer in record numbers. One out of every threeAmericans has heart disease or will suffer a stroke. One out of three will develop cancer. Obesity levels in the United States are at staggeringly high numbers and thisnational disgrace includesour children. Certainly a lack of exercise is a big factor here but our animal based diets with their high levels of cholesterol and saturated fats are what is killing us. We are the fattest nation on earth, suffer more heart attacks and strokes, have the highest rate of many varieties of cancer, and boast morecases of diabetes than any other country in the world. We also scarf down meat, and meat by-productsat a much higher ratethan any other country in the world. Do you see the connection?

Don't let big corporations who clearly think more highly of their pocketbooks than your health sell you down the river. Medical evidence shows conclusively that a plant-based diet consisting of raw fruits and vegetables, unrefined whole grains, lentils, seeds, and nuts are just what the doctor ordered for sustaining optimum health. Don't give your life savings to a surgeon to perform a triple by-pass to save you or your loved one. Stop buying expensive meats and their by-products and begin to discover and enjoy the benefits of a healthy plant-based diet and you will not need a surgeon...
