It's New Year DC and the time has come to celebrate. Personally, I have lived in the D.C. area for almost 10 years, and I do not take advantage of all it has to offer. When you live close sometimes you think you have all the time in the world to enjoy the sites and nightlife in the district, but then another year rolls by without enjoying what's out there. It's time to change all that.
The things to do New Year DC are endless. Whether you live near or far, if you visit D.C. often, or rarely, there are exciting things to do over New Year's Eve weekend. Something different that you may have not tried is a Potomac River boat cruise. They will have some fabulous events set up for New Year's Eve, as well as additional tours throughout the weekend. Another event you can't find everywhere, are parties at world-class museums, these will turn the everyday attractions into D.C. hot spots.
Want some more traditional New Year DC fun? Check out the numerous clubs and bars that will keep you rocking til the break of dawn. DJs and live bands galore will have you begging for more and wanting to go back night after night. Or, if you crave the traditional, but relaxed atmosphere, try an exceptional dinner with some wine. Enjoy some good food and conversation as you ring in the New Year with a glass of bubbly champagne.
Pros in the City can really help you figure out what the best activity is. Casual to upscale, there is definitely something to do in Washington D.C. that you are looking for. Enjoy a gala event at a hotel, or do dinner and a club. You do want to make plans soon though, D.C. is a highly traveled area over the holidays, and you don't want to miss out.
Don't keep putting off that trip to D.C. Take the time now to enjoy what's in your backyard, or across the country. New Year DC will be worth the trip.
