Cricket Brushes - Product Review

The Cricket Co was established in 1979 by Wayne Clark. Wayne was a hair dresser and was unhappy with the quality of tools that were out on the market so he set out and founded a company to design brushes and combs for the salon professional. Cricket is known for its high quality brushes, combs, shears, salon apparel, etc. Aside from winning multiple awards Cricket is known for its #1 selling thermal technique Round brush. They were also the first company to create a Static Free brush.

The Thermal technique brush is known for its tourmaline ionic bristles which helps to prevent static, fly away's, and helps to keep the hair moisturized. I have used these brushes my whole career and I absolutely love them. I have never found another brush quite like them. They glide through the hair easily and has its own built in sectioning pick located in the bottom of the brush. I can create beautiful volume on long hair with the #390 or add bounce with the #370 and #350. When I style shorter hair I use #330 and #310.

The different styles you will find in the static free brushes are the fast flo vent brush, the cushion brush, the sculpting and the round brush. The purpose of the vent brush is to help the hair dry quickly and won't snag the hair. It is good on all hair types. The cushion brush is best if used on heavy, thick or curly hair. The sculpting brush works great with products in the hair such as gels, mousse's and creams. Last but not least is the round brush. The round brush helps to create a shape in the hair and is available in many different sizes such as, RPM 8, RPM 12 and RPM 12XL.
