A Brief Introduction of Alternative Energy: Top 3 Reasons to go Green

Alternative energy has been a hot topic recently. In the past decade research has grown exponentially. Research has taken place in many fields such as solar energy, hydro energy, nuclear energy, and even the elusive nuclear fission (a division of nuclear energy). Early "radical" scientists and inventorslike Nikola Tesla have created their own ideas and plans for new ways to harness energy in this energy-depleting world. While most of his plans were hidden when he died, many were uncovered and kept hostage by governments like the CIA (where some plans were uncovered from a hidden letter). Tesla's plans were a springboard for many inspired scientists and inventors. One such basis was perpetual energy. Although right now it is not possible to build a working (by working I mean supplies more energy than it consumes) perpetual energy generator, many inventors are coming up with better and better models every day.

What this means for us is that in due time we will have achieved various ways of obtaining efficient if not completely free electricity, It is only a matter of time before we can reach that point. If we want to speed up the process to arrive at that point we all have to take measures into our hands and prepare for it. As a huge community of 6 billion people on this Earth, it is our responsibility to keep our Earth clean and efficient one step at a time. Of course, traditional energy saving techniques such as turning off unused lights are a great idea, it is not enough to clean up the world.

So how can we prepare for an energy efficient world? We can simply "go green". Basically, by going green we will be on the forefront of advancing technology. For example, although solar panels were expensive in the past, there is no reason for any respectable homeowner to not own a few unless they live in very temperate climates where natural disasters frequently occur.

Here are the top 3 reasons we should go green:

1) We are helping the environment: Yeah, I know. It's a clich but we really are helping our planet when we install things such as solar panels to power our homes a little. That little bit can save up over time, reducing emissions by fossil fuel powered electricity plants.

2) We save money: Another huge factor that people don't realize fully. Yes it may cost a bit to get started and a little work. But with the small amount of time it takes to make your home more efficient you could save thousands of dollars in electricity bills alone.

3) If we all pitch in we will advance the pace of technology advancements: It's simple really. If more people are seen and are going green then more and more people will have incentives to go green themselves. Industries see this and change their trends to R and D in energy efficiency to make money. They make money researching new ways to save energy so they can mass produce energy saving products, and then people will have not only a cheaper means of energy efficiency but also a time-saving means of it too. Instead of having to install solar panels or other generators (magnets, wind, water) we will have access to better technology that will be much easier to install. It's a domino effect in essence.

I have no doubt that we will reach that point sooner than later but if we all pitch in a little we can get there SOONER. And after all, sooner is better than never.
