The South Australian Riverland has many great visitors attractions that one could head over to, but one which always springs to mind when bringing the children is undoubtedly Monash Adventure Playground. It is definitely one of the most popular attractions for people to visit while in the region.
Located in the town of Monash within the South Australian Riverland, it was developed by Grant Telfer and the company, Grant Engineering, but then closed due to questions of safety. In 1996 the adventure playground reopened with safer facilities and far better picnic areas for families to take pleasure from.
The most superb thing about the Monash Adventure Playground is that it is free. The maze can keep the adults and kids amused for quite some time, with multiple techniques for getting out and including some lookout towers, hidden doors and high walls .When you are getting out of the maze you may enjoy an icecream or other goodies within the paddleboat kiosk that's central in the part.
The landscape through the entire playground is breathtaking, having a gorgeous creek running through the park, and vivid green grass covering the vast majority of area. A great water display is also a central focal point in the area. You'll find free barbecues to be used for public usage.
You will discover big leaning towers which you'll want to climb through with rope bridges as well as a large swing that can be used.
The playground also caters for youngsters of different sizes including the adults. You'll always finda lot of the adults in the park climbing on the equipment and having a go at the equipment. There is also a space for toddlers including slides, a bridge plus a child sized sand pit with diggers included.
There is also a basketball area that has goals for different age groups, and another highlight is a lot of room to kick a football throughout the park without interfering with others lovely day.
The wheelchair access is excellent in the park, and allows you to get around. The park opens at 10am daily and closes at 5pm, giving everyone sufficient time to enjoy themselves inside the park.
When you finally choose to leave following a great outing, you can head across the street and purchase some chocolates from the splendid chocolate shop. A cosy little shop with a huge assortment of handmade chocolates that are made right in front of you.
