Thanda's safari-style tented camp has risen in popularity over the last six years, as a location for intimate weddings and honeymoons, and The Honeymoon Tent offers a sophisticated mix of romance, privacy and refined comfort in the heart of the African bush.
The Honeymoon Tent features a king-sized bed in a spacious bedroom, and a comfortable separate lounge area for relaxation. The Honeymoon Tent is air conditioned for comfort against KwaZulu-Natal's humid summers. A highlight of the tent is the outdoor shower and Jacuzzi which has spectacular panoramic views of the 14000-hectare reserve.
A fifth tent has been added to the tented camp offering, which features a king-sized bed, a fan and outdoor shower. Both of the new tents have been equipped with baths.The four existing tents have also had their structures reinforced and undergone a soft refurbishment.
Thanda's once non-electrified tented camp has now been equipped with a generator which will power the luxury tents for a few hours each day. Guests will now be able to charge cameras and phones in the privacy of their tents.
The six luxury tents, coupled with the nine bush villas at the main lodge, and the exclusive-use Royal Private Villa take Thanda's accommodation inventory to 20 units, lodging 40 guests in double occupancy.
