subject: Choosing The Right Bathtub [print this page] Choosing The Right Bathtub Choosing The Right Bathtub
Choosing the right bathtub for your bathroom remodel at first seems as if it might be one of the harder choices you will have to make, simply because there are so many choices available. This decision will be made easier if you ask yourself several key questions before you go tub shopping.
The first thing is to consider why you really want a bathtub in your new bathroom in the first place you don't have to have one
Are you updating a guest bathroom that only gets used occasionally? In that case a bathtub may be an unnecessary expense when a spacious stand alone shower would suffice.
Is it a child's bathroom? A bathtub is pretty much a must there but safety has to be of the paramount importance with design being only a secondary consideration.
A master suite bath? Do you want to go super luxurious or stick to a basic bathtub and allocate the money saved elsewhere in the remodeled room?
Once you have answered these questions you will find that your options have already been narrowed considerably.
The next consideration is of course your bathroom remodeling budget. A bathtub can cost big bucks but, if it's the right one, most of the time it's worth it. Modern high end bathtubs have some very nice options and are quite a beautiful addition to a remodeled bathroom.
Whether you choose a jetted tub, a spa or a beautiful soaking tub, if you know you are going to enjoy using it and it will enhance your life a little why not splurge a little to get the tub you really want, instead of settling for something you don't really want and then regretting it every time you go to take a bath for years to come.
