Buy Turkey Fryer, Buy Electric Turkey Fryer A Review of Experience

I purchased the Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer thinking that it would be useful for Thanksgiving because I only have one oven and baking a Turkey really ties it up.

After receiving it I opened the box and was impressed with the quality of the machine. I purchased an 8 pound turkey breast, injected it and fried it. The machine worked so good. I followed the directions and found that I could have actually cooked it a few minutes less.

I appreciate the safety of this fryer over an open tub of oil over an open flame. And plugging in is much easier than hauling propane tanks around. The outside of this turkey fryer remained cool to touch at all times. It is obvious that a good amount of thought went into making it safe to use in an indoor environment.

This is a cabinet top model, so there are not long legs and worries about tipping over a huge tub of boiling hot oil. Also, the lid closes for more safety and also helps keep the air in the house from getting a greasy odor.

Instructions were very clear and precise. The finished product was amazing. We also cooked a turkey a little less than 14 pounds with no problems. You need about a gallon and a half of oil for the fryer which takes close a half hour to heat up.

The turkey needs to be totally thawed and also patted dry, because water in the turkey is going to make hot grease splatter. It is fine to add rubs on the turkey, but that goes make the oil kind of gross. Injection is a better bet, especially if you want to re-use the oil later.

This fryer is easy to use, relatively easy to clean for a fryer.

In summary, this fryer will safely fry a turkey, producing a moist and tasty turkey. We've also tried shrimp in it making the best fried shrimp either one of us have ever had. It is very useful machine. I would recommend the Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer to everyone, very easy and great taste.
