If you have ever had a problem with rodents, more specifically mice or rats, then I know you know how hard it is to get rid of them. They multiple quickly and in numbers. You get rid of one and there always seem to be more hanging around learning from the trial and error of the previous mice or rats.

The Orkin Exterminators are even defeated. The Orkin man that came to my home surprisingly said to me that "Mice can squeeze through anything [and] all they need is 1/25 of an inch, which is why it's so hard for us [Orkin Exterminators] to get them under control." It was really the tone and slouched body language that spoke defeat. Was he trying to tell me no matter how much money they were paid to get rid of the infestion, they would not succeed? Then what good are they?
The tried and tested
Before the defeated Orkin man left, he made sure to set up paper sticky traps. Again, the mice and/or rats have already learned what the traps do through their ancestors' trial and error. So do they work? Nope! Not at all. The next thing I did was go searching online for "home remedies" to at least repel the mice and/or rats. And I tried a few like the cayenne pepper remedy, clorox disinfectant remedy, and vinegar remedy. They proved to be unsuccessful for me.

Now, I recalled seeing a T.V. commercial a couple days prior for Ortho mouse traps. I had never in all my years of watching T.V. seen a commercial for mouse traps! So, yeah I took that as a "sign" from God. Ortho was advertising the trap you just toss in the trash after it catches and kills the rodent. So after purchasing the Ortho Kill & Contain Mouse Trap from Home Depot, I set it out by a corner of the dishwasher. And, at 2:21 a.m. the next morning that rodent was shaking the heck out of that trap, which was rather disturbing (I thought it was going to break loose or something, but it didn't)!
