SEO For Bing and Yahoo - Don't Go Crazy

First off, if you are not currently ranked for your keyword in Google, that should be your first priority. Google dominates the searches for most keywords, and is your main focus. If you already have high rankings in Google, and you are looking to increase your SEO in Bing and Yahoo, here are a few suggestions.

Yahoo is still heavily targeting meta tags and titles. Be sure that you have relevant content in your article. Standard on-page optimization is key.

Yahoo and Bing are also slower when it comes to indexing, so you may want to push a few links to your site to speed up the process. This will allow the spiders to crawl it a little faster.

Another good idea is to submit your site in the Yahoo Directory. It costs something like $197, but it will give you a major boost the in the searches for Yahoo.

These are just a few ways that you can boost your rankings in these search engines. Again, I highly recommend that you work on Google first, unless your Google Analytics state that you are receiving more traffic from Yahoo or Bing.

Side Note: Most businesses use Yahoo for searching for business news, stocks, etc. So if you are targeting these keywords, then focus more on Yahoo.

SEO is a game and it changes on a daily basis. So you need to stay updated with the latest link building, SEO optimization strategies, and Google updates to be successful. Always be thinking long term, and always improve and move forward!
