One of the city's most anticipated benefits, Fashion Forward celebrates those members of the fashion industry who have committed their time and energy to the fight for a cure with a not-to-be-missed runway show and silent auction. On the catwalk this year: spring collections from such celebrated designers as Yigal Azroul, Richard Chai, Diane von Furstenberg, Narcisco Rodriguez, Simon Spurr, and Anna Sui. "The CFDA has been at the forefront of the fashion industry's support of HIV and AIDS, and it is our responsibility to help GMHC raise funds and create awareness with events like Fashion Forward," writes GMHC's CEO Marjorie Hill.
Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion and presented by Bank of America, the evening's festivities will put designer merchandise, accessories and vacation packages up for grabs during a live and silent auction. Get lucky: and you'll be jetting off to the Dolomites for a ten-day stay at the San Lorenzo Mountain Lodgecomplete with Delta business class airfare for two.
On Celebration Honoring those members of the fashion industry committed to fighting for a cure for HIV and AIDS, Fashion Forward promises to be an evening of couture, cocktails, and perhaps a few celebrities. After all, the evening's host is "Project Runway"'s Tim Gunn.
