Recreating Denims
Recreating Denims

Denims never go out of fashion. However, the material is prone to discoloration, and it also wears and tears if used very often. If you have an old pair of jeans that you don't want to use anymore, you can check out these tips on how to recycle it into other useful stuff.

Denims can be fashioned into pot holders and wine bags. Cut the denim into medium, square-shaped pieces, similar to the size of your usual pot holders. Line it with quilt batting, fleece or squares cut from old sweatshirts. You can also include the pocket if you want to make it stylish and fancy.

Depending on the denim's leg width, a pair of jeans can produce four wine bags. Cut one of the legs into two, and hem each of its sides into a close. Coming up with two tube-shaped denims, patch another piece on one of the bases. This would serve as your bag base. Leave the other open; clean the edge of loose fibers by hemming it. Then design the surface with buttons, lace, sequins, ribbon, or any embellishment you like. Voila, you have a chic denim wine bag!

Recycling denims can help you become a good designer. Men jeans can be turned into denim pillow covers by simply closing a cut leg and placing a zipper on the other side. Moreover, if you are a small packer and you do not like big wallets in your small bags, you can turn your jeans into a purse. This is done the same way a pillow cover is made, albeit a smaller version of it.

If you are a good sewer, you can come up with a denim lunch or camera bag. You just have to be specific on the bag size, as well as the size of the camera that will fit in it. What's good about this is you are your own designer (men jeans can be used as well). You have the freedom to decorate and create designs that are all yours!

Denims never go out of style; same is true with its uses. So whether you are a chic, hip or funky designer, men jeans and women denims can be turned into amazing and useful stuff with just a dash of creativity!
