Beachbody attracts coaches for a number of reasons, but they're usually tied to just a few themes.
* They become a coach because someone they have a close relationship with recommended the Beachbody business opportunity to them; a friend, family member or close business partner.
* They met a complete stranger, developed some repoire with them, and then that person provided information about the Beachbody business.
* They were using P90X, Turbo Jam, or one of Beachbody's other programs. They had such great success with their program that they had to be a coach and tell others about it.
But are any of these alone good enough reasons to start a small business? If you're anything like me, that answer is NO, no matter how great Beachbody's products are.
I would want to sponsor a person with stronger additional reasoning behind their decision to join Team Beachbody.
More often than not, people start a business to make a profit. In order to assess the long term viability of Team Beachbody as a profit center, there are 10 questions I would look to get answered as soon as possible.
1. Is the product being offered easily consumable and hard to quit? Another way to ask this question is, would I buy Beachbody's product even if no business opportunity was attached?
2. Is the Beachbody opportunity virtual-is it or can it be global?
3. Do the Beachbody products have exceptional value?
4. How reasonable is the Team Beachbody entry fee?
5. Break even barrier-what exactly would I need to do to break even on my initial Beachbody investment?
6. Is the Team Beachbody opportunity something I can get/am pasionate about?
7. Is Beachbody in a huge market niche?
8. Are the Beachbody products easy to market?
9. Can I trust the Beachbody leadership team?
10. Does Beachbody have a proven track record of success?
At a bare minimum, you should do this layer of due diligence before signing up with Beachbody or any opportunity. Otherwise, you're just rolling the dice with your financial future.
