Itasca used cars dealer agrees with Chevy Camaro on hottest cars list

It was the hot car of the 80s and Im sure those who learned to drive in other decades would claim it as their status symbol as well. The Ramones and The Dead Milkmen, among many others, sang about it and it appeared as the show-off car in many movies and TV series.

Now the Chevrolet Camaro, along with the Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang, is in the running for the SEMA award of "hottest car". The award will be presented next month at the SEMA Show and other awards will include "hottest truck" and "hottest 4x4 SUV". No doubt your 2011 Chicago Chevy dealership has a favorite in each category.

Other models vying for the "hottest car" title include Audi A4, Ford Fiesta, Honda CR-Z, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Soul, Lexus IS, Mazda 2, Scion tC and Subaru Impreza. Luxury cars, fun cars and even strange-looking cars, but in my opinion most don't belong in the same category as the Camaro and Mustang.

Buyers of Itasca used cars will likely agree that the Camaro is among an elite few that truly qualify for the "hottest car" title. When it comes to the truck category, the Chevy Silverado goes up against the Dodge Ram, Ford F-Series and Toyota Tundra.

No Chevy contenders in the SUV class, but the Jeep Grand Cherokee may be a heavy favorite against the Jeep Wrangler, Subaru Outback and Toyota FJ Cruiser. SEMA doesn't explain the criteria for the winners, so it may just be the opinion of a few people - they tell us the SEMA show exhibitors will make the "hottest" selections.

But the groups president and CEO Christ Kersting did have this to say. "The SEMA award allows us to celebrate the outstanding vehicles and trends in the specialty-parts industry. We will be able to tap into the exhibitors' unique ability to identify what's hot, just as the trends are gaining momentum."

We won't have long to wait to find out who's hot and who's not, since the show will commence in Las Vegas in the first week of November. Customers of the 2011 Chicago Chevy dealership will want to watch for the results to find out if the Chevy Camaro is indeed the "hottest car".

Buyers of Itasca used cars can be sure they will find a hot deal when they visit the lot and check out all the pre-owned models - maybe even a Camaro or two. Pre-owned vehicles can be great for the budget-conscious and also can be the solution for a school-aged driver.
