This awards program, sponsored by Security Products magazine, recognizes outstanding IT products for use in the public sector across a broad range of security categories. All products will be showcased at the upcoming GovSec/U.S. Law Conference and Exhibition, which takes place March 23-24, 2010 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
"The public sector IT industry's innovation in developing leading-edge IT Security Products is among our greatest assets in combating threats to our nation's security," said Ralph C. Jensen, Editor-in-Chief, Security Products. "We are pleased to partner with GovSec/U.S. Law for the second consecutive year to highlight outstanding IT security products that help government agencies to meet their missions. We look forward to receiving and reviewing product nominations that inspire confidence in our nation's security capabilities."
The Security Products GovSec 2010 Awards are open to any company exhibiting at GovSec/U.S. Law. Security Products' editors will review the product nominations prior to the show and select winners from the following categories:
IT software security
* Homeland security
* Wireless security
* Access control
* Disaster recovery
* IP video
"IT security is among our country's most important national issues," said Don Berey, Show Director for GovSec/U.S. Law. Entries must be postmarked by February 21, 2010, and received by February 25, 2010, to receive consideration. Companies may nominate multiple IT security products for the award, but the same product cannot be entered in more than one category. Each product nomination requires a separate entry form.
