Money and voter apathy were a killers for Prop 19 in California. "This coalition will only continue to grow in size and strength as we prepare for 2012."

Passing Prop 19 in California will only shift the revenue from local dealers to the local tax base and give municipalities a chance to offer better services for residents and will stop local police from harassing drivers and professional business people from a habit many started in the 70's and have done ever since as part of their entertainment budget. This ritualistic form of relaxation has been around longer than many young officers of the law who strive to bust pot smokers who currently are on the wrong side of the fence. Many keep personal usage confined to home use (as they should) to reduce risk.
