The Success of Success
The Success of Success

You hear about 95% of all business startups fail, which means on 5 % succeed. But what are the differences between the 95% and the 5%? Whether it's a brick and mortar business or an online business these stats seem to hold true. Are 95% of the people starting these just idiots? The answer is no. Then what is the difference? Let us dwell on this topic today.

There are so many keys to starting a successful business, money, employees, a saleable product or service. And I am sure those factor into the success of a business, but I would wager that initial planning and what I will call the "success factor" are the most important. Well initial planning is obvious, if you didn't plan on x and x happened your dead. X could be the weather, I didn't plan on a wet summer when I built this water park. I think a plan for initial failure should be a part of the plan, and hey if it doesn't happen then you are ahead of the plan. Think of it as someone starting out in an online opportunity. Again, you need to have a plan incase of those initial failures so that you do not give up and throw in the towel.

As far as the success factor, wouldn't it be great if you surrounded yourself with the most successful in a particular area that is key to the success of your business. It would be like having Tiger Woods as your dedicated personal caddy. Some might say impossible, well I say nothing is impossible with the right mindset. If you believe enough to undertake such an endeavor as starting a new business, then you should believe in yourself enough to know that you can surround yourself with the right people. I took just that approach when starting my online opportunity and it has made all the difference in the world. Infact, if I could get out of my own way I would be even more successful that I already am at this point. Truth is, we tend to hold ourselves back, not allowing our self to reach our potential.

I would bet you can sit down for 5 minutes right now and think of 4,5, maybe 10 opportunities that you let slip by. How many times have you said, "if I had only did X when I had the chance". We all have. Success breeds success, and if you want it the opportunity is there for you to find that success. Don't stop yourself from realizing that success. My business coach told me one, "don't be afraid to play follow the leader when you know the leader is right". Find yourself a leader in your niche if you have one and follow there lead.
