Who's Got the Dirtiest Floor Mats? Jeeps or Mustangs?

Cruising the city streets and tackling the uncharted off-road are both detrimental to your ride's floor mats. The question is which ride has the dirtiest floor mats: the city slicking Mustang or the rogue Jeep?

Stains on Jeep Mats:

It is already been addressed that Jeep tackle the off-road trails, so you know that Mother Nature can be a beast to deal with. The number one element that Jeep Floor Mats face is mud. Whether it is caked on, slopped on, squishy or sloshy, mud is a deep brown stain that is extremely noticeable on any color Jeep floor mat. The second element that gives Jeep mats a run for their money is animal droppings. In the forest or brush, it is unlikely someone spots waste before stepping in and carting it into the Jeep and onto the mats.

Stains on Mustang Mats:

The biggest culprits of destroying Mustang floor mats are coffee and blacktop dust. The "city folk" enjoy their coffee, but when they're driving, illegally conducting business via their cell and drinking their mocha cafe latte with whipped cream - things can get complicated. The result? Their mocha cafe latte spills entirely onto the Mustang mats. But, just because coffee is the number one stain, don't think for a second that Mother Nature doesn't take a toll on this daily driver. With all the in-and-out traffic, the soles of the driver and passengers shoes are extraordinarily soiled. The blacktop leaves remnants on those shoes and it gets carted into the Mustang. While little kids think it's fun to play "Let's compare shoe prints" on the Mustang mats, we're sure the driver sees it a little differently.

The Winner

Although the elements for dirtying up these Mustang and Jeep floor mats are different, the messes have destroyed their respective mats. There may be no clear winner since the Jeep mats deal with the mess on a lower frequency, but it is a nastier mess. However, with the nature of the Jeep, it's been decided that the Jeep mats are the dirtiest. C'mon - who wants to clean up animal waste smeared all over the carpet?

Cleaning Up the Messes

It may seem like the best option is to throw away the soiled Jeep and Mustang mats - and we'd have to say we agree. Maybe next time, ditch the carpet and go for something a bit more heavy-duty to tackle the mess? Like a rubber, all-weather mat with a lip to catch liquids before they soil your ride.
