Every time I turn around I hear about how so and so made money off his blog or this person made xxx amount of money on her blog. Blogs have taken the front and center stage on the internet, but it's worth it to look at why people actually have them. A blog is simply a blog, a simple website where you can write things about yourself, someone else, or really anything you want to. There are about a million and one free blogging sites that anyone can set a blog up on. So now granny AND her dog can have a blog! Excellent.
But for those of us out there that really could care less about telling the world what we actually think, blogs are a convenient way to make a little extra money every month. Pay per click and affiliate marketing are the front runners of this money making adventure, but I'd like to discuss affiliate marketing today.
People blog about a product, service, or really anything they want to and then place an affiliate hop link into their content. The aim is for someone to purchase the product; they receive commission each time a product sells. This might sound easy to some or really difficult to others. Just exactly what are you going to talk about that makes someone want to buy a product?
For those of us that don't really want to talk, there's a program called Auto Blog Samurai that basically does it for you. It blogs about whatever topic you want, just give it a topic and a hop link and it goes. The content isn't A+, but it gets the job done. And if your goal is to make money off you blog, who cares how good the content is if it's making you money. And trust me, it does.
