Modifiable risk factors are those which can be altered that could facilitate in the prevention of the occurrence or progression of the problem. Modifying these factors is often advised by doctors to those who have non-modifiable risks. They are cigarette smoking, alcohol abuse, sedentary lifestyle, malnutrition, improper diet, hormonal imbalances due to certain medicines and lack of exercise.

Factors that could precipitate or trigger heart problem symptoms are stress, depression, anxiety, strenuous activities and heavy workloads. They could trigger a heart attack which could be life threatening.

Having proper patient education could protect you from the progression of the problem. Knowing the heart problem symptoms in women and its risk factors is an advantage. Discuss more of them with your doctor. Don't let heart problem symptoms take over your life.
