If gardening is your hobby, then you would have experienced this feeling of in spite of caring a lot for your plants, at times for some reason it doesn't proper. It might have discouraged you and you would have wanted to stop caring about plants and leave the entire thing to your mother. Even though it might be the right thing to do at times, if you're truly passionate about plants and flowers, it's always better to do some research and learn more about them, before you give up on it. This is when probably you would have learnt about the use of fertilizers.

Fertilizers are good most of the times if used with care. You have to learn the techniques in using fertilizers for your garden, as improper use can lead to danger for the plants. There are two types of fertilizers that are typically used, one which dissolves easily in water and the other which does not dissolve easily. The fertilizers that do dissolve easily in water when applied have an instant effect on the plans and flowers because of the quick spreading of nitrogen in the soil but this also exerts more force on the plant.

Here, we need to keep fertilizing the plants more frequently. However, the second type of fertilizers that do not dissolve easily in the water, when used, will be retained on the soil for longer period of time resulting in wanting to be fertilized less frequently. Fertilizers are divided into other 3 kinds namely; organic, synthetic and liquid. Organic fertilizers are much greener and natural compared to the others as they are usually made of natural materials like horse manure, mulch etc. and are usually placed in hot areas.

Synthetic fertilizers are the most commonly used and are easily available in your local fertilizer store. They're produced using various chemicals. It may not be the ideal thing for the environment, but these produce very quick results on plants and flowers. Finally we have the liquid type fertilizers that are packed in concentrated form and are usually sprayed using a garden hose. Which one would you use for your garden depends on the kind of plants and your requirements. However one thing that you need to be careful about is the proper usage of them since if applied incorrectly or in excessive quantity, it can cause more harm to your plants than good.

So if you're really passionate about the green species, then do not give up on them, rather learn more about them, including the proper safe usage of fertilizers to make them prosper. We need to realize that planting more of the plants are the only way of countering the immense pollution cause by ourselves these days. If proper methods are used for taking care of your plants, they'll go a long way producing lots of green in your garden and every effort you put into it will be very rewarding and satisfying to say the least.
